On Friday, July 10, 2020 Carl L. Canterbury passed away in Oak Manor Rehabilitation Center of Burtonsville, MD
Carl was born August 6th 1934 in Georgia to Lacy Arless Canterbury and Darrah Ruth Canterbury (Griswold)
He graduated from Blair High School in Silver Spring MD, was a member of the Masons of Laurel MD and served in the National Guard.
Carl worked in the Construction business for 65 years. He started as a carpenter for Lacy and Simpson General Contracting. After that he got a job as a Superintendent, building Hi-Rise buildings for IDI Development and Erkiletian Construction.
Carl loved his family and enjoyed being around people. His hobbies were hunting, family genealogy, and American History.
He is survived by his Son, Bret wife Debbi - Their two children: Michael and Carleigh, Michael’s wife Lesley and their daughter Reagan. Carl’s daughter Chandra (Canterbury) Fishman, Husband Eric, and daughter Nicole. Carl’s Son Christopher his wife Sandra and their children Lucas and Lydia. Carl’s two Sister’s Daranell Hannah and Betty Lou Canterbury. Daranell’s husband Butch and children Dana, Robin and Lacy and grandchildren. Betty’s Husband Michael Burbridge.
Because of the COVID-19 virus a private burial will be held at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery but a Celebration of Carl’s life will be held at a later time.
