Sally Beachum Grantham, born February 24, 1942, in Blawnox, Pa., wife of Gary Grantham, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 27. Sally was a teacher, storyteller, artist, seamstress, Dalmatian breeder, office manager, homebuilder, and avid reader of books. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Emerson Beachum, and her father, Calvin Hughes Beachum. She was the mother of Sean (and Jeannine) Grantham, Ian (and Carrie) Grantham, Sara Luke (and Marty) Murphy, and grandmother, known as "Gammaw", to Casey and Kyleigh Grantham, Noah Grantham, and Patrick Murphy. She was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren, and the many children "Mama Sally" invited into her life, the home she supervised in building, and the expertise she developed in European folk art while living in Germany, especially her ability to teach German women their own bauernmalerei style in their native language. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed by everyone she encountered.
The family will be having a memorial gathering at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21228, on October 7th, 2022, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.
