Sharon Lee Wilkerson

Sharon Lee Wilkerson, age 62, passed away peacefully in her home on February 27, 2021 after a two and a half year battle with cancer.  She was born on September 30, 1958 to the late James and Doris Combs of Ellicott City.  She was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Hebron High School.  She married Ron Lilley in 1977 and together they had 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jamie.  In 2002, she married Bill Wilkerson.  Sharon worked for 24 years as an elementary school secretary at St. Paul Lutheran School in Catonsville, Atholton Elementary in Howard County, and Westminster Elementary in Carroll County.  She also worked for 3 years as a receptionist at Carroll Medical Group in Hampstead.  Sharon had a strong faith in God and attended Lutheran church for most of her adult life.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren.  She loved to cook and crochet and each of her grandchildren has a special blanket made by her. Sharon was known for her bright smile and warm and caring personality.  Everyone who knew her loved and adored her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Wilkerson, daughters Jen Purper (daughter-in-law, Katie) and Jamie Oliver (son-in-law, Ben), stepson Broc Wilkerson (daughter-in-law, Chelsie) and 5 grandchildren, Brooks and Camden Purper, Kinsley and Hunter Oliver, and Hazel Wilkerson. 

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 4 at 11:00 am at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
